PROVIDERS BACKGROUND:

Rehabilitation Counselling is a sole trader organisation run as a private practise by Dr. Colleen Hyde, a psychologist registered with the NZ Psychologists Board and a full member of the NZ Psychological Society. She has a PhD in Psychology and a Diploma in Rehabilitation. Contact address: c/o the Thames Medical Centre, 817 Rolleston Street, Thames, but also has access to rooms in Waihi and Tauranga. Easy access to Hamilton and Auckland. She has been involved in rehabilitation counselling and running a pain management programme for ACC clients and private practice clients over the past three years. This service provides these clients with assessment, education, coping strategies, skills (eg goaL-setting and problem-solving), future planning and monitoring to ensure they are psychologically fit to return to work.
